A. Call to Order (Chairman Brooks)
B. Approval of the Minutes of the June 18, 2007 Meeting
(Chairman Brooks)
Motion to approve: Mr. Don Frantz
Second: Ms. Joy Wayman
Discussion: None
Vote: 6-0
C. Rezoning, Comprehensive
Plan Amendment, or Mixed Use Sketch Plan requests with a public
hearing:
1. 07-CPA-03 Parkside Town Commons presented by Ms. Meredith Chandler
Public Hearing: No one spoke at the public hearing
Motion to approve: Ms. Julia Rudy made motion that the Board forward Case Number 07-CPA-03 to Town Council with a recommendation for approval to amend the Land Use Plan as proposed.
Second: Mr. Keith Fenn
Discussion: Mr. Don Frantz noted concerns about development of this area prior to adequate infrastructure.
Vote: 6-0
D. Rezoning, Comprehensive Plan
Amendment, or Mixed Use Sketch Plan Requests with no public
hearing:
1. 07-REZ-06 Parkside Town Commons presented by Ms. Jennifer Currin
Motion to approve: Ms. Joy Wayman made motion that the Board forward Case Number 07-REZ-06 to Town Council with a recommendation for approval based on its consistency with the Comprehensive Plan and all other applicable plans and is reasonable for the reasons set forth in the Staff Report and Presentation.
Second: Mr. Hari Nath
Discussion: Mr. Don Frantz noted that he was not going to support the motion because he did not support the industrial zoning.
Vote: 5-1
(Against Mr. Don Frantz)
2. 07-REZ-01 Evans Estate Phase Two presented by Ms. Debra Grannan
Motion to approve: Ms. Joy Wayman made motion that the Board forward Case Number 07-REZ-01 to Town Council with a recommendation for approval based on its consistency with the Comprehensive Plan and all other applicable plans and is reasonable for the reasons set forth in the Staff Report and Presentation.
Second: Ms. Julia Rudy
Discussion: Mr. Keith Fenn noted that discussion involving traffic and connectivity should not be taken into consideration at that phase in the project, as they will be addressed during the site and subdivision process.
Vote: 6-0
