APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE March 15, 2004 MEETING

Steven Goodridge made a motion to approve the minutes, which was seconded by William Lyke and the Board voted unanimously 8-0.

SUBDIVISION PLANS FOR ACTION

  1.  04-SB-001 Upchurch Pond

Paul Broderick made a motion to support staff’s recommendations to deny this case.  Carla Sadtler seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously 8-0.

REZONING(S) FOR PUBLIC HEARING AND ACTION:

·  Public testimony is limited to comments on new or substantially changed aspects of the request which have occurred following the public hearing held by the Town Council.

·  Be concise; avoid repetition; limit comments to five minutes or less, and designate a spokesperson for large groups.

·  Following your presentation, print your name on a form provided by the Board Secretary to ensure the official record reflects the correct information.

·  Provide the Board Secretary any documents or materials presented to the Board


 

 

  1.  Rezoning Petition Case 03-REZ-17 Twin Lakes PDD:  Application by   Elam Todd d’Ambrosi (ETd) on behalf of 4 landowners to rezone approximately 300 acres located in Wake County east of Davis Drive and north and south of McCrimmon Parkway.

Public Hearing Comments
Paul Broderick made a motion to forward to Town Council for approval based on staff’s recommendations with conditions: Will support land use plan amendment, Approve PDD, and the changes to Section D by applicant, which states no attached town homes will be permitted in this area.  This motion was seconded by Wally Dawson and the board voted unanimously 8-0.

 

 

2.   Rezoning Petition Case 04-REZ-01 Glenaire:  Application by Glenaire on behalf of three land owners to rezone approximately 1.05 acres located in Wake County at 802 and 804 Kildaire Farm Road .

Ervin Portman made a motion to forward to Town Council for approval which was seconded by Paul Broderick and the board voted unanimously 9-0.

 

 

3.   Rezoning Petition Case 04-REZ-02 Powell/Ten Ten:  Application by Elam Todd d'Ambrosi (ETd) on behalf of Windjam Development to rezone approximately 54 acres located in Wake County at  3825 Ten Ten Road and tract north and east of 3825 Ten Ten Road . 

Public Hearing Comments
Paul Broderick made a motion to forward to Town Council for approval which was seconded by William Lyke and the board voted 6-3 with Carla Sadler, Ervin Portman and Lori Bush having the dissenting votes.

 F.

Ordinance Amendment

1.  Number of pieces of information on signs in Town Center District

Paul Broderick made a motion to forward to Town Council for approval based on staff’s recommendations of Option B, which was seconded by Carla Sadler and the board voted 8-1 with Lori Bush having the dissenting vote.

  NEW/OLD BUSINESS:

Mr. Paul Broderick requested that staff provide information regarding the buffer requirements and review of development plans for the remainder of the commercially-zoned property in the Maynard Crossing area that is adjacent to Weatherstone Subdivision.
