Approval of the January 20, 2004 Meeting Minutes

Ervin Portman made a motion to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Paul Broderick and the Board voted unanimously 8-0.

1.

Rezoning Petition Case 03-REZ-18 Arboretum PDD

Matthew Danielson made a motion to table the case until the March 15, 2004 Planning and Zoning Board meeting, which was seconded by Christy Perrin and the Board vote unanimously 8-0.

Rezonings

 

1.

Rezoning Petition Case 03-REZ-11 Cary Park PDD Amendment:  Application by Jerry Turner and Associates, Inc., for Panther Creek Raleigh Limited Partnership, to amend the Cary Park Planned Development District (PDD) Major. No comments were made at the Public Hearing

Ervin Portman made a motion to forward the case to Town Council for approval based on staff recommendations which was seconded by Paul Broderick and the board voted 8-0. 

2.

Rezoning Petition Case 03-REZ-13 Forest Oaks PDD:  Application by Withers and Ravel on behalf of 15 landowners to rezone approximately 327 acres of land located in Wake and Chatham Counties near Yates Store Road between Cary Park, Amberly, and the American Tobacco Trail. Public Hearing Comments

Ervin Portman made a motion to forward the case to Town Council for approval based on staff recommendations which was seconded by Paul Broderick and the board voted 4-4.  Carla Sadtler, Christy Perrin, Lori Bush and Matthew Danielson had the dissenting votes.

Ordinance Amendment:

Addition of a new Accessory Use called “animal husbandry

Planning and Zoning Board supported the proposed amendment with some minor revisions and concurred with staff to set a public hearing at the March 15, 2004 meeting.
