Call to Order

Board members present: Carla Sadtler, Edward Yerha, Mike Zaccardo, Paul Broderick, Don Hyatt, Ervin Portman, Wally Dawson, Steven Goodridge, June Schmidt and Christy Perrin.

Board members absent: None

Staff present: Jeff Ulma, Ricky Barker, Chris Simpson, JW Shearin, Jim Parajon, Suzanne Prince, Tammy Spivey, Steve Brown, Dick Moore, Dwayne Jones, Pat Gregory and Joanne Gunther.

Item 2 Approval of the minutes of the November 18, 2002 meeting. Mr. Portman made a motion to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Mr. Broderick, and the Board voted (10-0).
Item 3 Town Council Report

Item 4 Ordinance Amendment:
PR03-05 - Teen Council Advisory Committee - Amend the Unified Development Ordinance to include a Teen Advisory Committee. Mr. Portman made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their January 9, 2003 meeting, which was seconded by Mr. Broderick, and the Board voted (10-0).
02-REZ-11 - Weston PUD Amendment - Applicant has requested that this item be tabled. Ms. Perrin made a motion to table this item indefinitely, which was seconded by Ms. Schmidt, and the Board voted (10-0).
02-REZ-16 - 205 No. Dixon Avenue - Application by Hugh Gilleece on behalf of the property owners, George and Dorothy Clayton, to rezone property from Downtown Residential District to Residential Multi-family 12 Conditional Use District. The property contains 4.06 acres and is located at 205. N. Dixon Avenue, just north of the CSX rail line, south of Madison Avenue and west of N. Dixon Avenue. Mr. Broderick made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their January 9, 2003 meeting, which was seconded by Mr. Hyatt, and the Board voted (10-0).
02-REZ-17 - 401 Kitty Hawk Drive - Application by Elam, Todd, d'Ambrosi on behalf of the property owners, Haverty Furniture Companies, Inc., to rezone property from Planned Employment Center Conditional Use District and Business-2 District to Planned Employment Center District.  The property contains approximately 2.62 acres and is located at 401 Kitty Hawk Drive in Cary. Mr. Dawson made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their January 9, 2003 meeting, which was seconded by Ms. Perrin, and the Board voted (10-0).

01-REZ-23 - 1500 Walnut Street - Application by Christopher A. Shaw on behalf of the property owner, George O. Castleberry, to rezone property from Residential-12 district to Office and Institutional Conditional Use district.  The property contains 0.60 acre and is located at 1500 Walnut Street. Mr. Dawson made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their January 9, 2003 meeting, which was seconded by Mr. Hyatt, and the Board voted (10-0).
