Approval of the minutes of the January 22, 2002 meeting. |
Ms. Perrin made a motion to approve the minutes, which was seconded by Mr. Hyatt, and the Board voted (9-0) to approve the minutes. |

| 01-SP-153 – St. Charles Place | Ms. Schmidt made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their March 14, 2002 meeting, as submitted by the applicant, which was seconded by Mr. Broderick, and the Board voted (9-0) in favor of the motion. | |
| 01-SP-155 – Cary Elementary School | Mr. Portman made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their March 14, 2002 meeting, which was seconded by Ms. Perrin. The Board voted (7-2) to forward to Council for approval with Mr. Broderick and Mr. Hyatt having the dissenting votes. Several board members were concerned about the compatibility with the existing historic elementary school building. | |
| 01-SB-010 – Wickham Place | Mr. Zaccardo made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their March 14, 2002 meeting, which was seconded by Mr. Portman. The Board voted (9-0) in favor of the motion. | |
| Item 5 | Rezoning(s) for Action: | |
| 01-REZ-21/LPA-017– Sears Farm PUD - Application by Elam, Todd, d’Ambrosi, PA on behalf of the property owners, John & Maggie Sears, John & Elizabeth Sears and Robert & Brenda Sears to rezone the parcel from Residential 40 (R-40) to Residential 40 Planned Unit Development (R-40 PUD). The property contains approximately 77 acres and is located at 1651 High House Road. | Mr. Portman made a motion to forward to Council for approval at their March 14, 2002 meeting with an amended condition that states, "with the exception of the 12 units above the retail space" the apartments should be listed as "senior housing", this motion was seconded by Mr. Goodridge, and the Board voted (9-1) with Ms. Sadtler having the dissenting vote. | |

| 01-REZ-22/LPA-018– Highcroft Planned Unit Development (PUD) – Application by Jerry Turner & Associates, Inc., on behalf of the various property owners, to rezone the parcels from Residential 40 (R-40), Residential 8 Conditional Use (R-8CU), Residential 12 Conditional Use (R-12CU) to R-40 (PUD); R-8 (PUD); R-12 (PUD). The properties contain approximately 213 acres and are located south of Green Hope School Road and west of Sears Farm Road. | Mr. Broderick made a motion to forward to Council for approval with the inclusion of a developer’s agreement to provide a greenway easement south of and adjacent to parcel SF-3, which was seconded by Mr. Zaccardo. The Board voted (5-4) in favor of the motion with Mr. Portman, Ms. Sadtler, Ms. Perrin, and Mr. Yerha having the dissenting votes. | |
