FY 06/07 Budget
Discussion, Scott Fogleman, Budget Director
Lyman
Collins welcomed Scott Fogleman to the meeting.
Mr. Fogleman explained the month of February has been dedicated to getting
the word out to
Julia Kunkel Morrison explained a priority to her
was to have money budgeted for public art on all projects. Mr. Fogleman asked what the percentage is
would you like to see per project. Julia
felt 1% of the total project. She also
added that if the project does not go the money would still be set aside for
public art.
Smythe Richbourg would
like to have a line item for money that is set aside for these projects,
besides what Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources receives.
Julia Kunkel Morrison would like to see more police
patrol between
Smythe Richbourg explained in his subdivision nine
power poles have had the lines pulled three times. Also, there have been two poles
replaced. He would like the Town to look
at underground power. He explained he
would be willing to pay a reasonable amount for this amenity.
Carl Regutti asked Mr. Fogleman where these ideas
and comments will go from here. Mr.
Fogleman explained they will be complied by departments and then a summary.
Councilwoman Dorrel suggested the Board think about
their families, transportation, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources and
what you would pay more for services.

Gateway Project
v
Update
Lyman
Collins explained the Board received a copy of what Council accepted on this
project. He also explained that the
money is remaining in a separate account for public art to be incorporated on
the Town Hall Campus. He has spoken with
Catherine Widgery and she is determining what expenses she has incurred. The
Board asked if there was an estimate on her cost. Lyman explained Catherine had to give the
glass manufacture a $10 thousand dollar deposit for the samples they designed. Catherine
will be working with the glass manufacture to recoup some of the deposit. At this time Lyman felt this project needed
to be taken off the agenda for next month, but he will keep the Board informed
on any happenings. Smythe Richbourg
asked where the sample pieces will be housed.
Lyman explained those are Catherine’s.
Smythe thought they would be great pieces to have on display. Carol Aupperel explained CVA has been put in
a difficult situation and wants to know if the partnership still stands. Laura Coats with CVA explained the Board
should keep CVA informed on any projects that are coming up. This will allow CVA to access each project as
it arises.
