Public Art Advisory Board
2007 Goals

•        Continue to advise Council on the implementation of the Public Art Master Plan and assist staff in development of public art ordinances/policies for the Town of Cary as outlined in the Public Art master Plan and research the development of a public art ordinance for developers.

•        Review and make recommendations on the current TOC projects: Town Hall Campus , US 1/64 Pedestrian Greenway Bridge , Cary Dog Park , Walnut Street Park , Downtown Cary Streetscape, and other Town initiated projects

•        Prioritize opportunities as part of public art work plan

•        Continue to seek opportunities to extend Community outreach and education about public art and plan dedications of public art projects completed during the year  

•        Continue to develop partnerships with CVA and other public/private partners

•        Review artists’ qualifications to assist staff in the development of a pool of qualified artists for potential Town projects

•        Review and make recommendations concerning, donations and gifts of artwork, site plans for public art, CVA initiated projects and projects related to private development

•        Enhance the development of the PAAB’s effectiveness and knowledge about the Town’s collection
