  MINUTES

Thursday, August 22, 2002, 5 p.m.

Building B Upper Conference Room

 

I.

Introduction of members:

Members present were Jo Rathgeber, Robert Keely, Rob Deal, Jeffrey Gillette, Geiselle Thompson and Sandy Gottlieb. New members Anne Fitzpatrick and Ed Quick were present, but could not officially vote until appointed by Council later that evening.

Staff present: Roger May.

II.

Approval of Minutes:

The board unanimously recommended approval of the July minutes as written.

III.

Citizen Comments:

Board Member Thompson stated that she received a mailing from the Public Works and Utilities Department. She noted that this is significant because she lives in an apartment and usually does not receive mailings from the Town since they are typically mailed to homeowners.

IV.

Old/New Business:

  1. Web Overhaul Phase 4: The Board continued to discuss Phase 4 of the Web overhaul process. Members discussed several facets of the Town's Web page including the home page, scrolling text, photographs, hot topics, thumbnail images, shortcuts, and the search engine. Members talked at length about developing a style guide by department for each department's Web page to create uniformity and make it easier to find information.

The next ISAB meeting will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2002 at 5 p.m. in the Building A Front Conference Room.
