I.

Introduction of members.

Members present are: Cliff Barnes, David Forvendel, Jeff Gillette, Sandy Gottlieb, Bob Hickey, Jim Jensen and Jo Rathgeber.

Members absent are: John Bennett, Robert Keely, and Lester Thomas.

Staff present are: Susan Moran, Mike Mull of Technology Services, and Ken Guttman of Planning and Zoning.

II.

Approval of Minutes of the June 22nd, 2000 meeting.

The minutes of the
June 22nd, 2000 meeting were unanimously approved.

III.

Citizen Comments.

There were no citizens present and no members had any comments from citizens.

IV.

Old/New Business:

  1. Discuss and vote on GIS mapping layers (Mike Mull to demonstrate):
    Mike Mull explained the different layers and what layers most people/citizens call requesting information from. The layers are updated on an as needed basis, depending upon improvements or changes that have been made. Board members are to communicate with citizens and see what information is most commonly needed. They are encouraged to ask questions and email Mike Mull
    mmull@ci.cary.nc.us.

    Mike also suggested each member should review other GIS data that is currently available on the web. Below are some suggested website to visit and review:
