MINUTES

Thursday, March 26, 2002, 5 p.m.

Building A Front Conference Room

I.

Introduction of members:

Members present were David Forvendel, Eugene Murray, Jeffrey Gillette, Julie Thomas, Benjamin Rector, Jo Rathgeber, Sandy Gottlieb, and Geiselle Thompson. Members Rob Deal and Robert Keely were absent.

Staff present: Susan Moran and Roger May.

II.

Approval of Minutes:

The board unanimously recommended approval of the February minutes as written.

III.

Citizen Comments:
Citizens Ed Clayton and Anne Fitzpatrick were present, but made no comments. Member Jeff Gillette suggested that Spanish language information be added to the GTV bulletin board, specifically information regarding regulatory issues and public safety. He also suggested airing a Spanish version of BUD TV.

IV.

Old/New Business:

1. Board members discussed ISAB-Council communications. Members discussed at length their role in relation to Council. Members stated that one of their main goals was to generate ideas to deliver to Council. The issue of information collection of citizen feedback on the revision to Government Access Channel policy by Town staff was discussed. After a lengthy discussion and debate, member Jeff Gillette made a motion to request that Council direct staff to introduce an organized collection of citizen comments, emails, phone calls, letters, etc. The motion was seconded by member Eugene Murray, however was voted against by the majority.

The meeting adjourned at 6:07 p.m.

The next ISAB meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at 5 p.m. in the Building A Front Conference Room.
