Special Goal Setting Session

I.

 Introduction of Members :
Members Present: Cliff Barnes, Sandy Gottlieb, Bob Hickey, Jim Jensen, Robert Keely, Lester Thomas, and Jeffrey Gillette.

Staff Present: Susan Moran and Reidonna Lesher

Council Present: Glen Lang and Marla Dorrel

II.

 Approval of Minutes:
As this was a special meeting of the Board, no action was taken on the February minutes. Action is expected at the Board’s regular March meeting.

III.

 Citizen Comments:
There were no citizens present.

IV.

 Old/New Business:
  1. The entirety of the meeting was devoted to brainstorming goals for the ISAB’s 2000-2001 year. No action was taken at the meeting except to forward the goals to the members for consideration at the regular meeting on March 23rd. The proposed goals are as follows:
  • GTV Programming
  • Review Non-Technology Issues ( Cary News, Bud )
  • Web Content & Technology ( Forecasting Accounts, Registering for PRCR, Modeling, Streaming Video, Web Banners, Increasing Appeal )
  • Multimedia Interactive ( E meetings, video, call in )
  • Feedback/Citizen Participation
  • Economic Update from Bill Stice ( Data, GIS, E Con )
  • Low Power FM
  • Marketing Communications on vehicles ( Links from www.townofcary.org, Speakers Bureau )
  • Future of GTV ( Sat., C.B. )
  • Emergency Communications
  • Neighborhood – Based Communications
  • Triangle Communications ( Regionalism )
