Introduction of Members :
Members Present: Cliff Barnes, David Forvendel, Sandy Gottlieb, Bob Hickey, Jim Jensen, Robert Keely, Jo Rathgeber, and Lester Thomas.

Staff Present: Neil Ghodke and Susan Moran

Council Present: Glen Lang

Approval of Minutes:
The board unanimously approved the minutes from the December 9^th, 1999 meeting.

There were no citizens present.

1. Brainstorming Ideas for Government and/or other Access Programming:

	Every Cary Citizen Advisory Board
	Sister Cities Programs - live video back and forth , why they are sister cities
	Where does your water come from, where does it go? (Cameras in the pipes – unique)

MEDIUM
	Entertainment - Cary Band, Parades, Regency Park Productions, Cary Concert Choir
	Sporting Events - High School Wrestling, PRCR Playoffs
	Community Highlights Video (new production) – designed to relate to newcomers, visitors to the area
	School Games – Brain Games, Quiz Bowl, Debates
	How-To Programs (new production) – Household & Gardening Tips for Cary, Teaching Computer Technology to Adults
	Risk Prevention Programs, dealing with alcohol, teen pregnancy, suicide
	How Town of Cary Works – series about Rezonings, Permitting, etc…

	Special Forums held throughout the Triangle (Hugh McCall speaking at NC State, RTP technology seminars…)

	News Program (new production) – topics to include Government as well as Cary Community News
	Wake County School Board
	Video Cams – DOT Highway Cameras, new Cary traffic cameras-fixed and mobile, links to web
	Town Facilities Videos - series about all the facilities—parks, greenways, Page-Walker, plants—what they do, how citizens can use them
	Violence Prevention in Schools Videos - involves kids, peer mediation
