1.      Introduction of Members  

Present: Donna Bravo, Esther Ortega Bridger, Jamie Cuticchia, Steve Del Verde, Mark Evangelista, John Fitzpatrick, Michelle Hillison, Dean Smith, and Jo Rathgeber  

Absent: Angel Wright-Feldman  

Council member Julie Robison was present.  

Staff members Susan Moran, Karen Gray, and Roger May were present.

 

2.      Approval of Minutes  

The board unanimously approved the minutes of the December 2, 2004 meeting.

 

3.      Citizen Comments  

There were no citizen comments.

 

4.      Old/New Business  

a. Deputy Town Clerk Karen Gray welcomed new appointees to the board. Ms. Gray reviewed Town policies and procedures with the new appointees.  

b. Ms. Rathgeber made a motion to nominate John Fitzpatrick vice chair. The Board unanimously approved the motion.  

c. Ms. Moran presented staff report TC05-003, Vote by Mail, to the board and requested their input and feedback. After discussion, Ms. Moran requested that the board take action on the item. Mr. Smith made a motion to support staff’s recommendation and Ms. Bravo seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously in support of staff’s recommendation.  

d. Ms. Moran initiated the goal setting session for 2005 by asking board members to identify specific items they would like to address. In addition, Council member and ISAB liaison Julie Robison identified several items she would like to see the ISAB work on in 2005. A complete list of the proposed goals is attached.  

Ms. Moran asked board members to assign a priority – high, medium, or low – to each item before the March 3rd meeting, at which time the board will set their goals for the year. In addition, Ms. Moran asked newly appointed board members to read and sign the Technology Appropriate Use Policy and to read Working with the Town of Cary prior to the next meeting.  

e. Ms. Rathgeber asked that members please contact staff as soon as they know they will not be able to attend a meeting, and to inform staff and the board if circumstances prevent their attending on a regular basis.

 

5.      Member Comments  

There were no member comments.

 

6.   Adjournment  

The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.

 

7.   Next ISAB Meeting  

The next ISAB meeting will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 5:30 p.m. in the Temporary Council Chambers at the Herb Young Community Center , 101 Wilkinson Avenue , Cary .
