I.

Introduction of Members:

Members present were Jo Rathgeber, Robert Keely, Jeffrey Gillette, Anne Fitzpatrick, Sandy Gottlieb, Rob Deal, Ed Quick, and David Forvendel.  Members Geiselle Thompson and Eugene Murray were absent.

Staff present: Susan Moran and Mark Andrews.

Approval of Minutes:

The board unanimously recommended approval of the November 7, 2002 minutes as written.

III.

Citizen Comments:

Members stated that they felt there was good communication from the Town with regard to storm debris pick up and that the MEGA MULCH GIVEAWAY was a great idea.

IV.

Old/New Business:

1.  BUD - Staff member Mark Andrews was present to talk with the board about BUD, the Town's monthly utility bill insert.  Mr. Andrews presentation included BUD's focus, the writing process, schedule, distribution, readability, and feedback.  Mr. Andrews will do an analysis to determine of laying BUD out in standard columns will add or subtract from the amount of information carried in it.  Several members discussed distributing BUD to residents who reside in apartments.  Ms. Moran noted the cost for distributing BUD to apartment residents would be approximately $40,000 for one year.  Members asked about sending a one-time mass mailing to apartment complexes to let residents know about the electronic mailing list service, BUD online, and other Town services.

2.  Annual Report - Members discussed the annual report.  Members unanimously approved the draft report presented to them by Mr. Forvendel.
