from the October 8, 2001 meeting.
Mr. Werner made a motion to approve the
minutes, which was seconded by Mr. Frick, and the Board voted (10-0) to
approve the minutes. |

APPLICANT: Artisan Recreational Structures, Inc.

REQUEST: The applicant is requesting a variance of 1.5 feet to
bring a nonconforming structure into compliance. The applicant is
also requesting a variance of an additional 10 feet in order to add a
screened porch in the area of the existing concrete patio and to address
an existing shed encroachment. The total variance requested is
11.5 feet.
ACTION: Mr. Snead, relying upon the precedent of a
variance having been granted in 1998 to the unit at the end of the 4
unit structure, made a motion to approve application number 01-V-015 to
run with the existing structure, which was seconded by Mr. Bartley, and
the Board voted (9-1) to approve.

REQUEST: The applicant is requesting a variance to encroach 2.7
feet into the sideyard setback of the home to address an existing
encroachment of the home 2.7 feet into the sideyard setback. The home is
8 years old, and the encroachment was only recently discovered.
ACTION: Mr. Koeppel made a motion to approve application number
01-V-016 to run with the structure, which was seconded by Mr.
Cassell, and the Board voted (10-0) to approve.

REQUEST: The applicant is requesting a variance to encroach
12 feet, 6 inches into a rear setback of 30 feet for the proposed
addition of a patio enclosure.
ACTION: Mr. Koeppel made a motion to deny application
number 01-V-017 as it failed to meet the requirements as there was
no evidence of a hardship, which was seconded by Mr. Weaver, and
the Board voted (7-3) to deny.
