    The meeting was called to order by Ms. Wayman at 7:30 PM.
  1. Action on Minutes from March 13, 2000 Meeting

    ACTION: A motion was made by Ms. Jordan and seconded by Mr. Wegerski to approve the minutes as submitted. The Board voted unanimously (10-0) in favor of the motion.
  1. Swearing In: The following individuals were sworn in to give testimony: Tracy Roberts, Matthew Griffin, Peter Gartner, B. Clark Hunsinger, Dean P. Edwards

  2. APPLICATION #: 00-03-V

    STAFF CONTACT: Matthew Griffin

    SUBJECT PROPERTY: 106 Queensferry Rd.

    APPLICANT(S): Dean P. Edwards Inc.

    REQUEST: The applicant, Dean P. Edwards Inc., is requesting a variance to bring an existing house into compliance. The house was mistakenly built several inches into two side yard setbacks.

    ACTION: A motion was made by Ms. Jordan that application #00-03-V has successfully met the requirements of Section 6.1.5 of the Cary Zoning Ordinance and is hereby granted, subject to the following conditions and findings: Variance shall be transferable and run with the land. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cassell and the Board voted unanimously in favor of the motion.


    APPLICATION #: 00-04-V

    STAFF CONTACT: Matthew Griffin

    SUBJECT PROPERTY: 101 High Country Dr.

    APPLICANT(S): Kelly Gartner

    REQUEST: The applicant, Kelly Gartner, is requesting a variance to bring an existing house into compliance. The house was constructed so that it encroaches into two side yard setbacks.

    ACTION: A motion was made by Ms. Jordan and seconded by Mr. Spencer that application #00-04-V has successfully met the requirements of Section 6.1.5 of the Cary Zoning Ordinance, and is hereby granted, subject to the following conditions and findings: Variance shall be transferable and run with the land.

    The Board requested that staff study the issue of variances for minor encroachments in two or more setbacks being granted by administrative approval.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
