The meeting was called to order by Ms. Wayman at 7:30 PM.

Oath was administered to Steven Crutchfield by Mrs. Kotecki, Board Secretary:

Action on Minutes from February 14, 2000 Meeting

ACTION: A motion was made by Mr. Cassell and seconded by Mr. Spencer to approve the minutes as submitted. The Board voted unanimously (10-0) in favor of the motion.

Swearing In: The following individuals were sworn in to give testimony: Tracy Roberts, Matthew Griffin, Jeffrey A. Curtis, Brad Flater

Case Hearings

APPLICATION #: 00-02-A

STAFF CONTACT: Matthew Griffin

SUBJECT PROPERTY: 1731 Walnut St.

APPLICANT(S): W. A. Homes

REQUEST: The applicant, W. A. Homes, is appealing a staff decision to deny a sign permit. Staff’s decision is based on their interpretation of the Town of Cary Sign Ordinance.

ACTION: A motion was made by Mr. Cassell to affirm the administrative officer's decision based on the following finding: Signage fails to meet the requirements of the Cary Sign Ordinance. The motion was seconded by Mr. Spencer and the Board voted unanimously in favor of the motion.

New Business

Tracy Roberts reported that staff will organize a Zoning Board of Adjustment workshop with a speaker from the Institute of Government for the board members. The workshop is scheduled for Monday, April 10, prior to the regularly scheduled board meeting.

Adjournment.

There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 8:05 p.m.
