Council Members Present: Mayor Harold Weinbrecht, Mayor Pro Tem Julie Robison, Council Members Gale Adcock, Don Frantz, Jennifer Robinson and Jack Smith

Council Members Absent: Council Member Ervin Portman

Staff Present: Town Manager Bill Coleman, Town Attorney Chris Simpson and Town Clerk Sue Rowland

The town council departed Cary on March 4, 2007 to attend "Essentials of Municipal Government" sponsored by the UNC-CH School of Government and the NC League of Municipalities at the Grove Park Inn, 290 Macon Avenue, Asheville, NC. The sessions were conducted on March 5-7, 2008. Topics discussed included municipal operations, roles and responsibilities of elected officials, working together as a governing board, financial management, planning and development issues, and other municipal government issues.
