DRAFT Special Meeting Minutes of the Cary Town Council June 28, 2007 5:30 p.m. Council Chambers 316 N. Academy Street, Cary
Present: Mayor Ernie McAlister, Mayor Pro Tem Jack Smith, Council Members Marla Dorrel, Ervin Portman, Jennifer Robinson and Nels Roseland; Council Member Julie Robison arrived late, and her arrival time is noted in the closed session minutes
Mayor McAlister called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
ACTION: Mayor Pro Tem Smith moved to conduct a closed session pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(A)(6) to consider the qualifications, competence, performance, character, fitness, conditions of appointment, or conditions of initial employment of one of more individual public officers or employees. Mrs. Robinson provided the second, and council granted unanimous approval. (Mrs. Robison was absent for this vote.)
The council returned from closed session, and Mrs. Robison was present at this time.
ACTION: At 6:30 p.m., Mrs. Robison moved to adjourn; Mr. Roseland provided the second; council granted unanimous approval. (Ms. Dorrel was not in the room and was not excused from voting; therefore, the record reflects an “aye” vote for her.)
