Background:

The Friends of Page Walker (www.friendsofpagewalker.org), a non-profit organization established to preserve Cary’s historic cornerstone, has requested that the Mayor appoint a council member to serve on their board of directors for a three-year term in accordance with their bylaws. The board meets the first Wednesday of each month. The council representative will serve as an ex-officio voting member of the board. Council Member Don Frantz has expressed an interest in serving on this board.

Staff Recommendation:  Staff recommends that council appoint Council Member Don Frantz to a three-year term on the Friends of Page Walker Board of Directors.
