Retreat Subcommittee Minutes

December 20, 2007

SUBJECT: Retreat planning

LOCATION: Room 22010, 316 N. Academy St., Cary, NC (town hall)

Retreat Committee Members Present: Mayor Harold Weinbrecht and Council Members Ervin Portman and Jennifer Robinson

Phil Boyle, the retreat facilitator, attended this meeting.

The meeting began at 5:07 p.m.

The committee chose Mid Pines as the location for the 2008 council/staff retreat.

The committee proposed the following draft agenda:

• Friday: water resources
• Saturday morning: council priorities
• Saturday afternoon: visioning
• Sunday morning: wrap up

Committee members expressed the importance of coming away from the retreat with specific action plans to ensure council and staff appropriately follows through with retreat commitments.

Staff will share the proposed retreat topics with council and get their feedback.

Another subcommittee meeting will be scheduled and will include Phil Boyle.
