E.   PUBLIC SPEAKS OUT (one hour time limit)

Mr. Nick Lavalle, president of the Wellington Park Homeowners’ Association, thinks the Crossroads and Piney Plains issue should have been brought up for vote tonight. He stated the developer didn’t consider the residents at all with the request to delay. The residents will now be inconvenienced to have to attend more meetings due to this delay. He requested settlement of this issue. They are not opposed to development, but they are opposed to development beyond the scope of the current zoning. He doesn’t think high density is compatible with the area.

After this, she learned from a board member that the board may have denied the rezoning if they had heard the citizen comments before their vote. She believes the land should be developed as it is presently zoned.

Ms. Jill Bryant stated the Piney Plains land should remain as it is presently zoned. She welcomes a plan that conforms to the current zoning.
