TOWN ALTERNATIVE 1

ALIIGNMENT TO TIE TO EXISTING TRINITY ROAD AND UTILIZE THE EXISTING AT GRADE RAILROAD CROSSING AND EXISTING TRINITY ROAD ALIGNMENT BETWEEN EAST CHATHAM STREET AND NC 54/CHAPEL HILL ROAD.

 

TOWN ALTERNATIVE 2

ALIGNMENT TO REALIGN THE EXISTING AT GRADE RAILROAD CROSSING AND TIE TO EXISTING TRINITY ROAD .  TTA ORIGINALLY HAD PLANS TO REALIGN THE EXISTING AT GRADE RAILROAD CROSSING AND THIS ALTERNATIVE WAS TO TIE TO TTA’S WORK.

 

               

TOWN ALTERNATIVE 3

NEW ALIGNMENT OF TRINITY ROAD WITH A BRIDGE OVER THE RAILROAD AND EAST CHATHAM STREET WITH A CONNECTOR ROAD FROM TRINITY ROAD DOWN TO EAST CHATHAM STREET.  EXISTING TRINITY ROAD WOULD BECOME A CUL-DE-SAC ROAD FOR ACCESS TO THE EXISTING BUSINESSES.

 

NCDOT ALTERNATE 1

NEW ALIGNMENT OF TRINITY ROAD WITH A BRIDGE OVER THE RAILROAD AND EAST CHATHAM STREET .  INCLUDES THE CLOSURE OF THE EAST CHATHAM STREET INTERSECTION AND EXISTING RAILROAD CROSSING.  THIS IS THE SAME ALIGNMENT AS THE TOWN ALTERNATIVE 3.

 

               

NCDOT ALTERNATE 2

ALIGNMENT TO TERMINATE AT EAST CHATHAM STREET .  EXISTING TRINITY ROAD GRADE CROSSING AND INTERSECTION WITH EAST CHATHAM STREET TO BE CLOSED SO NO RAILROAD CROSSING WOULD BE PROVIDED AND CONNECTIVITY THROUGH TO CHAPEL HILL ROAD WOULD NOT BE PERMITTED.

 

NCDOT ALTERNATE 3

CONSTRUCT THE NEW INTERSECTION OF TRINITY ROAD AND CARY TOWNE BOULEVARD AND ONLY EXTEND TRINITY ROAD APPROXIMATELY 1200’ NORTH OF CARY TOWNE BOULEVARD .
