Friday, May 18

Starlight Concert: Polka Plus Band - POSTPONED Until June 29
Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 7 p.m.
Roll Out the Barrel and put on your dancing shoes for the 23rd annual Yankovic Day celebration. Polka Plus Band entertains with favorite polkas and American standards. For more, (919) 460-4963 or Starlight Concert Series.

Cary Downtown Farmers Market

7th Annual Wheels on Academy Car Show and Public Safety Day
9 a.m.-2 p.m.
Enjoy the cars of yesteryear as they come alive again and rule the road along with some of today's modern hotrods and exotic cars.  The Touch-A-Truck area will allow children to touch, climb on, and ask operators questions about their favorite vehicles and heavy machinery.  The Public Safety Area will feature police and fire vehicles, K9 demonstrations, a smoke house, and much more.  Join us as Academy Street and Downtown Park become enlivened with entertainment, food, and fun!  More here, or call 919-319-4560.  

Garden Open House - CANCELLED
Carpenter Park, 9-11 a.m.
Explore the garden while learning what grows best this time of year and how you can garden at home! This event will include kid-friendly games and a play garden, folks on staff to get your gardening questions answered, info on how to get involved with our environmental programs, and more. All ages are welcome. No pets please. 

Beer & Bacon Festival 
12 p.m.-6 p.m.
The Beer & Bacon Tasting Session offers an exclusive tasting experience. Each guest will enjoy 15+ restaurant tasting stations (until 2pm) and fresh griddled bacon (until 3pm), a souvenir glass and boundless portions of over 75 craft beers and wines, plus 2 extra hours of alcohol sampling and all live entertainment. These tickets are limited and will sell out! More details.

The Johnny Folsom 4 recreate the recording of this seminal album – announcements, banter, mess-ups and all. You can play a role in this event by choosing a seat in the first three rows and buying an “inmate ticket” – complete with your very own inmate shirt and directions on how to be a part of the show as the original inmate audience. Tickets can be purchased online, by calling (800) 514-3849, in person at the Cary Box Office located at The Cary Theater (122 E.
