Three brothers of faith walk into a concert hall…what may be mistaken for a stand-up comedian’s opening line is actually Abraham Jam, a trio of internationally-renowned musicians who have teamed up to create art strengthened by diversity performing at the Cary Arts Center. The concert, presented by Six String Presents and  the Town of Cary,  is Saturday, April 7 at 8 p.m. at the Cary Arts Center. Tickets start at $15- and are available now at The Cary Theater box office as well as online. Tickets will be available at the door if the show does not sell out in advance.

Abraham Jam–composed of Billy Jonas, David LaMotte, and Dawud Wharnsby–features “brothers” from the three Abrahamic faiths. Jonas, LaMotte and Wharnsby have performed extensively over the last few decades in their individual careers, now they’re coming together for this special one-night concert. The trio doesn’t just take turns sharing songs -- they create music together, contributing vocal harmonies, percussion, and instrumentation to each other’s songs.

Six String Presents brings live music to select venues from the best in singer songwriters, blues, bluegrass, country, folk and acoustic music. Six String Presents and The Town of Cary present a series of shows at the Town of Cary's renovated 1940’s movie theater The Cary Theater at 122 East Chatham Street and The Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Avenue.
