Cary Police Charge Man with Crimes Against Juvenile

  • The investigation began February 8 when staff at WakeMed Cary reported suspicious injuries to police.

CARY, NC – The Town of Cary Police Department tonight charged a Cary man with crimes against a child. Ronald Frazier, 27, of the 100 block of Clancy Circle, Cary, is charged with Attempted First Degree Murder and Felony Child Abuse. These charges carry a penalty of up to life in prison without parole. He is being held at the Wake County Public Safety Center.

On Thursday, February 8, 2018, a woman brought her four-year-old child to WakeMed Cary with severe injuries.  There, emergency room staff alerted Cary PD to the suspicious injuries as per protocol. Frazier was later arrested for Assault on a Female and Felony Assault by Strangulation, charges stemming from a separate, but possibly related, incident.

While an arrest has been made, citizens with any additional information related to the crimes should contact the Town of Cary Police Department at (919) 469-4012 or file a report anonymously with Cary Crime Stoppers at (919) 460-4636. Crime Stoppers pays up to $1,500 for the arrest or indictment of those responsible for committing certain types of crimes. All calls will be kept CONFIDENTIAL at the caller's request.
