Full Release

Cary, NC – Two days after Mother Nature surprised the area with more snow than predicted, Cary returns to normal operations with a few exceptions. Cary’s snow fighters, the A-Team, will continue to have a minimal presence overnight, monitoring conditions and responding as needed. Garbage and recycling collection will continue on Saturday to complete routes crews were unable to serve due to icy conditions; customers should continue to leave their carts at the curb. Remember, backyard service and yard waste collection are suspended for the rest of the week.

“After two days of dedicated effort by the A-Team, Cary streets are in very good shape. However, with temperatures still below freezing, motorists should continue to be alert, especially in shaded areas,” said Scott Hecht, Public Works director.
