Friday, December 29

23rd Annual Cary Kwanzaa Celebration
Cary Arts Center, 11a.m.-5 p.m.
Cary Kwanzaa is a communal, cultural celebration that honors African-American people and their heritage. The theme for this year’s celebration is "Peace, Love and Respect...For Everybody" and will feature a performance by the children's dance group, Kuumba Dance Company, at noon. Vocalist Lois Deloatch will perform at 1 p.m. The event will also include a Vendor Market and Children's Village (hands-on arts & crafts activities) from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The Kwanzaa Ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. and feature a performance by the African American Dance Ensemble. Cary Art Loop
Downtown Cary & surrounding area, 6 – 9 p.m.

NC Chinese Lantern Festival
Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 6-10 p.m.
Come out to Koka Booth Amphitheater this holiday season and enjoy the magnificent light displays of the Chinese Lantern Festival! Venue food/beverage stands will be open selling holiday treats and beverages. Please note, the venue is not able to provide wheelchairs for patrons at this event.
