Traffic Alert – Sellout Crowd Expected at Cary’s WakeMed Soccer Park

  • The Town of Cary is expecting delays in eastern Cary near WakeMed Soccer Park, 201 Soccer Park Drive, from 12-8 p.m on Sunday, October 8 due to the North Carolina Courage semifinal game.
  • GoRaleigh is providing free rides on its route that stops on Chatham Street right at WakeMed Soccer Park to all fans going to the game.
  • Citizens interested in ticket availability should call the NC Courage at (919) 459-8144.

 

In advance of the North Carolina Courage Semifinal game against the Chicago Red Stars on Sunday, October 8, the Town of Cary is advising drivers to expect heavy traffic delays in eastern Cary near WakeMed Soccer Park, 201 Soccer Park Drive, from 12-8 p.m. While no lanes will be closed, drivers near the intersections of E. Chatham Street and Maynard Road and E. Chatham Street and Trinity Road should expect delays and temporary traffic shifts; avoid congestion by using Chapel Hill Road (N.C. 54) and Cary Town Boulevard during these times.

Additionally, GoRaleigh is providing free rides on its route that stops on Chatham Street right at WakeMed Soccer Park to all fans going to the game. Those who show tickets to the 3:30 p.m. match will pay no fare on GoTriangle Route 300, which is operated by GoCary. Citizens interested in ticket availability should call the NC Courage at (919) 459-8144.
