Campout, Fishing and More Highlight Cary’s Take a Child Outside Week
- Town of Cary offers host of outdoor events for Take a Child Outside Week September 23–29.
- Free events include fishing, canoeing & yoga; family campout requires fee to participate.
- Registration is open and required to participate in each of the events.
Cary, NC – More free classes and the popular family campout at Bond Park highlight the second annual Take a Child Outside Week in Cary. Free parent-child activities include fishing, canoeing, low ropes and outdoor yoga. Registration is required prior to the events and some events are already full; a waitlist is available. There is a fee to register for the Family Campout on Saturday, September 23. TACO week ends with Bands, Bites and Boats in Bond Park on Friday, September 29 and features live music, food trucks and half-price boat rentals. This weeklong event encourages children and adults to spend more time together outside, while exploring, understanding and appreciating the natural world.
