Cary, NC – Hear what candidates for Cary Town Council have to say before going to the polls on October 10; the Cary Community Candidate Forum featuring candidates for Cary Town Council’s At-Large, District A and District C seats is now airing daily on Cary TV until Election Day. The forum airs daily on Spectrum channel 11 and AT&T Uverse channel 99 at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. unless superseded by a Town Council meeting live cablecast or replay. For those without cable television, the forum is available on demand at www.youtube.com/TownofCaryChannel.
As in years past, the 2017 Cary Community Candidate Forum is the only forum for candidates for local office sponsored by a Triangle local government, and the only forum for local offices to be aired this year on Cary TV. This year’s forum was sponsored in its entirety by the Town of Cary. The forum was recorded at Cary Town Hall by Cary TV in a live-to-tape format. Participation was optional, and no edits or promotional materials were permitted. Based on a decision at the July 23, 2015 regular Cary Town Council meeting, each candidate was given five minutes for comment.
“The goal of the Cary Community Candidate Forum has always been to facilitate the dissemination of relevant information of interest to Cary voters in an atmosphere that is fair, profession, dignified and respectful,” said Deanna Hawkes, Deputy Public Information Officer.
