Cary Area EMS Offering CPR Class
Participants will receive CPR certification card upon completion of course
- Three-hour CPR certification class will be September 12 from 7-10 p.m. at Cary EMS Main Station.
- Open to citizens 18 years and older.
- Cost of course is $50 and must be paid by September 1.
Cary, N.C. – The Cary Area EMS is offering a CPR class for citizens 18 years and older on Tuesday, September 12, from 7-10 p.m. The class will cost $50 and will be held at the Cary EMS Main Station, 107 Medcon Ct. Participants must be available for the entire three-hour block of time for the class, and upon successful completion of the class a CPR certification card will be issued. Payment must be received prior to September 1 or registration will be void. Check payments should be made out to Cary Area EMS, and mailed to P.O. Box 2, Cary, NC, 27512.
Cary Area EMS currently staffs three paramedic level ambulances, 24 hours a day, and an additional paramedic level peak-load truck 12 hours a day. This service is available 7 days a week, 365 days a year. One ambulance works out of the main station, one truck from Cary Fire Station No. 5, and another truck out of Morrisville Fire Station No. 2. Founded in 1971, Cary Area EMS took less than 350 calls in 1972 and 14,381 calls in 2016.
