Cary, N.C. – Arts and crafts lovers, we need you. The Town of Cary is looking for around 300 volunteers to help with the 41st Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival, August 26-27 on the Town Hall Campus. All volunteers must be at least 16 years or older and school groups, community organizations and clubs are encouraged to participate. There are a variety of opportunities like assisting with festival load in and out, booth sitting, staffing the information tent, and more.
Shifts are available from August 25-27 for a myriad of time slots, ranging from one and a half to four hours each. Because of the high demand for volunteers this year, citizens are invited to sign up for multiple shifts or multiple days. The Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival is free and open to all citizens, running from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on August 26 and 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m. on August 27.
“Volunteers are very important to the smooth functioning of Lazy Daze, and this year we are shooting for 300 volunteers like you who want to help,” said Adam Bell, festival coordinator. “Don’t miss out on this opportunity to join our volunteer team and meet some really great people, spend quality time on Cary’s Town Hall Campus, and help make the 41st Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival the best yet!”
To register, go to “Volunteers” at www.townofcary.org/lazydaze or email firstname.lastname@example.org; groups with members younger than age 16 should also contact Deidre Lewis.
