Hazardous Tree Removal in Downtown Cary
- Academy Street from E. Park Street to Dry Avenue will be closed today from 7:30 a.m.-noon.
- Drivers should use Park Street, Harrison Avenue, S. Walker Street and Dry Avenue to detour the area.
- The closure is necessary to allow for the safe removal of a tree deemed hazardous by an independent certified arborist and posing an imminent threat to drivers and pedestrians.
This morning, June 21, from 7:30 a.m.-noon, Academy Street in Cary will be closed from Dry Avenue to E. Park Street. Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use Park Street, Harrison Avenue, Walker Street and Dry Avenue to detour the area. The closure is necessary to safely allow a private contractor to remove a tree deemed hazardous to both pedestrians and drivers.
