Cary, NC – After exhausting all leads, the Town of Cary Police Department is turning to citizens to help identify a group of men who robbed an employee waiting to start his early morning shift. On June 6 around 4:50 a.m., an employee of Starbucks, 125 Weston Parkway, was sitting inside his vehicle waiting for his shift to begin when he was approached by four males. One asked to use the employee’s cellphone; when the request was denied, the group of males assaulted the employee and stole his cellphone and wallet. No life-threatening injuries were reported. A short time later, the stolen credit cards were used at a fast food restaurant in Graham, North Carolina. Photographs from this scene reveal three of the four males to be black, ranging in age from 20-40; the fourth suspect was not captured on video.
“Nobody should ever feel unsafe when simply sitting in their car,” said Captain Randall Rhyne of Cary’s Criminal Investigation Division. “It’s time to see the sun set on this sunrise crime, and we know someone in the public will be able to identify these guys and assist us in bringing justice to this victim.”
