Cary, NC – The Town of Cary is holding a public meeting on Tuesday, June 13 from 5-8 p.m. to share final construction plans for roadway improvements at the intersection of Cary Parkway and High House Road. Citizens are invited to stop by the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury O’Dell Place, in Bond Park at their convenience to view conceptual drawings of the design, learn more about the construction project and ask questions.
Once complete, the intersection will feature new turn lanes on both High House Road and Cary Parkway. An exclusive right turn lane will be provided at all four approaches to the intersection; a left turn lane will be added to both approaches on High House Road and the northbound approach on Cary Parkway. Other improvements will include upgraded traffic signal poles, decorative street and pedestrian lighting, and new meandering sidewalks. Existing aesthetics at the intersection will be preserved, including the clock tower and walls. Project construction is slated to begin in this fall and be completed by fall 2018.
