Cary, N.C. – You never know what you may find, from the curious to the incredible, at the 13th annual Senior Center Yard sale on June 17 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury O’Dell Place. Admission is free, and all proceeds from the cash-only event will be split seven ways between the Senior Center and the six Cary Senior Citizen Clubs (XYZ, AARP, Senior Technology Education, Cary Garden Club, Bharatiya Senior Citizens of NC, and the Volunteer Sewing Club). All sales are final with no refunds given.

“The annual Cary Senior Center Yard Sale offers everyone a chance to find a few hidden treasures to take home. It’s also a great opportunity for those looking to downsize to get rid of things they no longer need. From new furniture to stylish clothing and everything in between, you never know what you may find!” said Jody Jameson, Cary Senior Center Operations and Program Supervisor. Gently used, clean donations are accepted at the Senior Center on June 15 from 9:30 a.m.-6 p.m. and June 16 from 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Please note that no cathode ray tube televisions or baby cribs will be accepted. The Town accepts items for the yard sale from and for all ages; donors do not have to be 50-plus to donate items.

Funds raised from the yard sale have helped pay for software updates for the computer lab used by the Senior Tech Education program; bought yarn, sewing machines, and other materials for the Volunteer Sewing Group; and helped fund the planting, growing, and harvesting of vegetables by the Cary Garden Club in the community garden that are then donated to the Dorcas Food Pantry.

Service animals are allowed. Parking is in the Cary Senior Center lot, with overflow in the Bond Park Community Center lot and Fields 5/6/7 in Fred G. Bond Park.
