How to Use Maps Online

To Start

Click on the following link to view our geographic information system: Maps Online.

Confirm you've read the disclaimer by clicking I understand, proceed to Cary GIS.

Choose a topic by clicking on one of the section headings. A new browser window opens automatically.

Using Maps Online

See Map Tools Help to learn about functions such as pan, zoom, identify, measure, layers, etc.

To Find Out About Development in Cary

  • Click the Search button beneath Data Tools on the left side of the Development Around Cary window
  • In the top right corner of the next page, choose the type of search. Find out what's happening nearest to you, closest to a particular intersection, or within a certain distance.
To Learn Where to Vote
  • Click the Search button beneath Data Tools on the left side of the page Voter Information window.
  • In the upper right corner of the next page, enter your address and click Find.
Your home address and polling place appear on the map. The box on the right side of the page notes which Town Council district you're in and who represents that district. The Council Web site has detailed information.

For Property Information

  • Click the Search button beneath Data Tools on the left side of the Property Information window.
  • In the box in the top right corner, click by Address, by Owner or by PIN#.
  • Enter the information and click Find.
You'll get an aerial view of the property and details on zoning, acreage, assessed land and building value, etc. Click on "Wake County Property Info" for more real estate data.

For Parks Information

  • Click the Search button beneath Data Tools on the left side of the Property Information window.
  • In the box in the top right corner, click by Name, by Activity or Nearest to Me.
  • Choose from the list of parks, the list of activities, or enter your address. Click Find.
The box on the right side of the page includes the address and what's available at that park. Click "Link to Town of Cary web page" for that park's Web page.
