The Town collects loose leaves once a month from each street during the months of November, December and January in accordance with the leaf collection map and schedule. To ensure collection, please place loose leaves curbside by 7 a.m. on the first scheduled day of collection for your area. The Town may visit your street at any time during each of your area's specified collection periods. Remember to keep leaves out of the street and avoid sidewalks, fire hydrants, mail boxes and water meters.

Additional collections can be scheduled during November, December, and January at a cost of $100; call (919) 469-4090 to schedule a collection. This is for loose leaf collection in addition to the three free collections that occur town-wide.

Beginning January 30, 2012 through March 30, 2012, loose leaf collection can be scheduled at no charge by calling (919) 469-4090.

Year-round Alternatives
Regular yard waste collection includes properly prepared leaves. Place yard waste at the curb by 7 a.m. in reusable containers, paper bags or securely tied bundles. The maximum amount is 240 cubic feet - 8 feet long by 5 feet wide by 6 feet.

Yard waste can also be taken to the Citizen's Convenience Center located at 313 N. Dixon Ave. at no charge.
