Computer & Electronics Recycling
NEW! Join the Town of Cary and Wake County on May 19, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a special "one-stop-drop" collection event for electronics and household hazardous waste. Learn more.
The Town of Cary was the first in the state to offer curbside pickup of discarded computers for
recycling. Only in the past two or three years have local governments begun to realize that old computers in landfills can cause serious health problems because they contain toxic heavy metals such as lead, cadmium, mercury and chromium.
