The Town of Cary is dedicated to preserving and protecting our finite natural resources. In 1996, the Town Council established a Water Conservation and Demand Management Policy. To achieve the goals of this policy, the Town Council has passed ordinances as referred to in the questions below.

Is it my day to water according to the Town of Cary's year round alternate day watering limitation?

Are any of my irrigation heads or sprinklers watering the driveway or street in violation of the water waste ordinance?

In the event that the Town Manager declares a water shortage, the Water Shortage Response Plan will go into effect. Read the Water Shortage Ordinance (Sec. 36-81).
