Composting – pumpkins, gourds and more

In North Carolina, 60 to 80 million pounds of pumpkins are grown every year. Many of these are used for fall decorations and then thrown in the garbage – now that’s spooky! Make your Halloween green by attending our Fall Composting Workshop and learn how to turn your pumpkins, gourds, and fall harvest scraps into nutrient-rich and water-saving compost.
