For questions about C-Tran's Fixed Route Service and Other Regional Transit Services
The Town’s public transit service includes bus transportation along six fixed routes available for use by all citizens and visitors of Cary. Update: As of December 15, 2011, seniors age 65 or older and those 60 to 64 who are certified and possessing a C-Tran ID card can ride for free.
Cary citizens who ware disabled or at least 60 years old also have the option of registering for door-to-door service.
Fixed Routes:
A fixed route service map and bus schedule show the six C-Tran fixed routes, the existing Triangle Transit Authority routes, Capital Area Transit Route 11c to NC State, transfer points from one route to another, and nearby apartment complexes, shopping areas and other likely destinations. Accessibility
All C-Tran fixed route buses are wheelchair accessible. Each bus has space to accommodate securing two wheelchairs. The wheelchair lift is available for those passengers with disabilities in wheelchairs or for passengers unable to use the stairs. The lift is not available for passengers to use for the sole purpose of loading large or heavy quantities of packages or groceries.
Rack-N-Roll
The C-Tran Rack-N-Roll Program makes riding fixed routes more convenient for bicyclists. Bike racks on each bus can accommodate two wheeled, single seat bicycles.
Tandems, tricycles and bicycles with wheels less than 16 inches in diameter are not compatible.
