Plan Approval Process and Schedules

Electronic Plan Submittal

Cary now offers the option to submit your development plans electronically.  To reduce production and environmental costs typically associated with the conventional plan review process, beginning March 1, 2010, all development plans (site and subdivision) submitted to the town for review are strongly encouraged to be submitted electronically. For more information on submitting or viewing a plan using the Electronic Plan Submittal, please feel free to contact the Planning Department at (919) 469-4082 or view the Electronic Plan Review User's Guide.   

There are four approval process cycles:

  • Town Council Cycle and Major Plan Review Cycle -- Schedule (PDF or HTML)
  • Minor Plan Review Cycle -- Schedule (PDF or HTML)
