Fred G. Bond Metro Park, Multipurpose Field
Experience winter fun for the whole family at Cary’s Bond Park! Grab your sleds and come dressed to play on the snow-covered hill across from Bond Park Community Center. The amazing sledding hill will be covered with snow made from ground ice by Snow My Yard. The snow is refreshed each morning and between sessions as time allows.
There are sledding areas for varied skill levels—one from the top of the hill all the way to the bottom for the confident sledders and another that starts midway down for the little ones. Registered parents are welcome to sled with their children.
A few tips to keep your whole bunch happy:
- Dress accordingly—you may get a little wet as the snow melts.
- The best sleds are those with smooth bottoms. Inflatable tubes work well too.
- A limited number of sleds and tubes will be available for rent (ranging $2-10 each)
- Bring your camera to capture all the smiles of a fun-filled day
Registration for Cary residents begins on December 2 and non-Cary residents on December 16. Winter Wonderland 2014 offers 12-one hour sessions beginning on Friday, January 10. For more information regarding session times, please see our Program Brochure or pick up a copy at any Town of Cary Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources facility.
Fees per session:
$12 Cary residents (per person)
$16 non Cary residents (per person)
Only those who are registered will be allowed to sled. Registration is non transferable. Sessions are expected to fill quickly. Registration will NOT be available the day of the event.
