Community Arts: It's Better Together

Final Community Arts Logo

New Community Arts Project Kicks Off in 2016 – Your Door to Cary!

Come be part of the team that creates a community art project highlighting all the wonderful attributes of Cary.

The Cary Arts Center’s new Community Arts: It’s Better Together series will serve as an umbrella program for future community arts projects and events, where various themes will be chosen to facilitate community collaboration with professional artists.

This year, a selected artist, Cary Arts Center instructors and the public are invited to work together to create a temporary exhibit to be viewed this Summer/Fall at a central location in the town, to be determined.

This year’s theme, Your Door to Cary, was inspired by the original metal student locker doors that have been in storage several years, when the Cary Arts Center was renovated from being the former Cary Elementary and Cary High School. We are excited to breathe new life into these locker doors which are linked to the legacy of education and history of the Cary Arts Center and the local community.
