2014 Concerts

June 13 - Old Habits Bluegrass Band
Raleigh-based Old Habits is one of the area’s most popular bluegrass bands. Influenced by Old Crow Medicine Show, Del McCoury, Sam Bush and the Weary Boys, Old Habits has quickly developed a classic sound, fueled by powerful harmonies and strong instrumentals. Expect a fun show filled with a mix of originals, traditional bluegrass & familiar cover songs.

June 27 - The Church Sisters
Southern 17-year-olds, Sarah and Savannah Church have talent that stretches far beyond their years. Their organic bluegrass/country sound surely sets them apart from the young artists of our time. From the raw, yet smooth quality of their harmonies mixed with classic country instrumentation, one could easily mistake those velvety vocals for someone twice their age. As a special treat the Page-Walker’s Bluegrass Camp Students will demonstrate their newly honed skills providing opening acts for the sisters.

July 11 - Barrowburn
This band is equally at home ripping through a set of jigs or reels as they are rendering the simple beauty of a slow air or lament. Barrowburn perform both legacy and contemporary ballads from the tradition as well as comical Irish pub songs.  In concert, they demonstrate their love for Celtic music, but do so from an American perspective.

July 25 - Jamrock
Rock out to Jamrock’s authentic reggae rhythms as they play “Yard Style” reggae, including Lovers Rock, Oldies, Dancehall, and Roots music. The band’s Jamaican core contributes to their sound which reflects their origins in Jamaica. This concert is sure to have you “jammin’ mon!”
