Children's Theatre of Charlotte presents
Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel | 10 a.m. and The Emperor’s New Clothes | 3 p.m.
Saturday, October 25
Once again, the Children’s Theatre of Charlotte returns to Cary with two shows in one day: Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel (10 a.m.) and a world premiere retelling of the Hans Christian Anderson classic, The Emperor’s New Clothes (3 p.m.). As a delightful musical adaptation of the book by Virginia Lee Burton, Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel, is a story of two friends whose hard work and determination finally pay off.
Come back later for Max Bush’s adaptation of The Emperor’s New Clothes. A mother and son fool the vain and selfish Emperor into believing that they can make him an extraordinary suit that is both beautiful and magical. Will the Emperor “see through” their plan? Come down to the arts center to find out! Buy tickets for the morning show or the afternoon show, or both!
