These choirs perform around 300 times each year in front of almost half a million people. They visit virtually all European countries, and are frequent guests in Asia, Australia and the Americas. The choir aims to teach the boys to become well-rounded, independent, generous and open human beings. The boys come from all over the world, including Europe, Asia, the United States, and Australia.
It Takes Two: An Evening with Lauren Kennedy & Alan Campbell
RESCHEDULED: Saturday, June 15, 7:30 p.m.
(Tickets for the previously scheduled date—Saturday, May 12—will be honored at the rescheduled date.)
www.goingbarefoot.com/artist_takestwo.php
Married now for over ten years, Broadway stars Lauren Kennedy and Alan Campbell form the ideal musical merger when onstage together — from giddy and light-hearted to powerful and poignant, from well-known hits from their Broadway musicals and pop-rock milestones to remarkably fresh, undiscovered gems from a whole new bounty of remarkable young composers and lyricists. The pair met in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Sunset Boulevard on Broadway; other notable shows include Spamalot and Les Misérables (Kennedy) and Contact and Beauty and The Beast (Campbell). Kennedy is a Raleigh native; the pair produce Raleigh’s “Hot Summer Nights at the Kennedy.”
“It Takes Two” is an evening of perfectly-tuned, consummately entertaining, smooth-as-satin show biz panache — plopped smack-dab in the middle of a platter of real life. It’s diapers, left-over pizza, who’s taking care of the little one, does-this-dress-make-me-look-fat, can-you-just-shut-up-and-sing wonderful. And it’s as much fun as chocolate and champagne, iced tea and pimento cheese.
