NCAA Championship City

The NCAA has selected Cary to serve as one of the inaugural members in its “NCAA ncaachamp Championship City” pilot program that featured multiple host opportunities of NCAA Division I, II and III men’s and women’s championships through the end of 2012.

As part of the NCAA Championship City program, Cary has hosted or will host the following events:

2009 Division I Men’s College Cup – WakeMed Soccer Park
2010 Division I Women’s College Cup – WakeMed Soccer Park
2010 Division II Baseball Championship – USA Baseball National Training Complex
2011 Division II Baseball Championship – USA Baseball National Training Complex
2012 Division II Baseball Championship – USA Baseball National Training Complex
2012 Division III Men’s and Women’s Tennis Championships – Cary Tennis Park

Also, the 2009 Division I Women’s Basketball Regional was held at the RBC Center in Raleigh.

Additional NCAA Championships are scheduled in Cary.

2013 Division II Baseball Championship – USA Baseball National Training Complex
2013 Division I Women's College Cup.

Prior to the NCAA Championship City program, several NCAA Championships were held in Cary.
